This aid has become a great opportunity for freelancers and SMEs to accelerate their digitization with the help of experts in the sector. First, what is a digitizing agent?

In simple words: a digitizing agent is any company that promotes digital solutions. It participates in the Digital Kit program in order to support SMEs and freelancers in their digitization.

This means that the digital agents will be in charge of guiding the client company to achieve its objectives. Their task will be, then, to advise before, during and after the completion of the process. Being, also, in charge of carrying out the technological implementation in the company.

What is the Digital Kit?

Now, you may not have heard about the Digital Kit before; well, we’ve explained it to you. This financial aid program created by the Spanish government supports the digitalization of companies, regardless of their size. But also of those people who work as freelancers.

This digital solutions kit was approved by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation at the end of 2021. All thanks to funding received from EU Next Generation funds.

The objective of this kit, in any case, is to help smaller companies to face the digital transformation. All from the hand of experienced professionals who have the financial support of the government.

5 requirements to become a digitizing agent

According to the regulations, to become a digitizing agent you must comply with:

  1. To have an accumulated turnover in the Spanish market:
    1. Of at least €100,000 in the two years prior to the submission of your application. Or 50,000 € in the previous year in similar projects that are developed in any of the categories of solutions in Annex IV of the Order of Bases. 
    2. For the self-employed, the turnover must be €70,000 in the 2 years prior to submitting the application for membership. Or 35,000 in the previous year in similar projects developed in any of the categories of solutions in Annex IV of the Order of Bases.
  2. Be up-to-date with their tax and Social Security obligations.
  3. Not to be considered a company in crisis. This in accordance with what is proposed in Article 2.18 of the European Union Regulation No. 651/2014, of June 17, 2014. And to Annex II of the Order of Bases.
  4. Present as a credit a fiscal domicile and center of presentation of activities object of the subsidy in the European Union.
  5. At the time of application, have a web page dedicated to the Digital Kit program. It must have a digitizing agent domain name with the minimum content indicated in Annex II of the Adhesion Announcement. In addition, on this page you must indicate each reference, the solutions you offer distributed by beneficiaries, sectors and names of the solutions.

5 steps to join the Digital Kit program

Joining the Kit Digital program as a digitizing agent is a fairly easy process. You will see, there are 5 basic steps that we will detail below, save them and join successfully:

  1. Access the web page to join the Digital Kit program for digitalizing agents within Red.es. Then, start the process directly. Remember that to carry out this process, you must be a legal representative of the company.
  2. You must complete the information required in the membership form. There, you must indicate the categories of solutions for which you are requesting membership as a digitizing agent. These categories are:
    • Web page creation.
    • Development of an online store.
    • Management of social networks.
    • Customer management.
    • Business intelligence and analytics.
    • Process management.
    • Electronic invoicing.
    • Virtual office.
    • Secure communications.
    • Cybersecurity.
  3. Attach all the necessary documentation. Among all this, you must emphasize the accreditation of the representation of the fiscal domicile. Also, volume of invoicing, accreditation of being up-to-date with tax and Social Security obligations, among others.
  4. Please send your membership application, bearing in mind that it is necessary to sign it electronically.
  5. After your membership is approved, you will be able to advertise your services.

When can you join the Digital Kit program?

The deadline to join the Digital Kit program as a digitalizing agent began in January 2022. It will also be open for the duration of the program.
