Types NIF

NIF for businesses

In the case of companies, the application for the NIF must be made before the Tax Agency exactly one month after the date of registration of the legal entity, that is, one month after the creation of the company. In fact, without this document, the company does not exist for tax purposes.

It could be said, therefore, that the NIF is like the "identity card" of companies. There are different formats to identify each type of NIF, not only at the individual or legal person level, but with a series of variants that indicate the specific characteristics of the holder.

The NIF of natural persons is the same code as that of their identity document, in the case of Spanish citizens it will be that of the DNI and in the case of foreigners residing in Spain it will be that of the NIE.

Transfer or acquisition of securities.

Acquisition of financial assets with implicit profitability.

Acts or documents of constitution, acquisition, transmission, modification or extinction of real rights over real estate.

Operations with credit institutions.

Contribution or perception of pension plans.

Insurance or financial transactions.
